In December 1986, all the show’s cast members were gathered in the Clegg mansion’s opulent set for the annual cast party, culminating in a group photo that included Teri Hatcher of ABC hit DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

Cast and crew spent a nice evening drinking champagne and socializing, but their good cheer didn’t last long. Some days after, CBS announced the show’s cancellation. Adding insult to injury, John Conboy was forced to shoot the final three months in only six weeks; the set of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL had to be built.

Still, despite the disheartening news of the show’s impending cancellation, the classy and glamorous cast posed for a photo, which, like the 1983 cast photo, displayed an image of the U.S. Capitol in the background.
