John R. Hammond

S/Sgt. U.S.Army John R. Hammond was born January 30, 1919 the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Hammond, Clarksburg, WV and attend Washington Irving High School. He entered the Army on October 5, 1942 and served at Camp Flora, Camp Shelby, MS, Ft. Hayes, OH. John also served in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Ireland. He was awarded during his service, 5 BS, G. Cond. M., VM, Amer., EAME. He is the husband of Mrs. Bonnie Nay Hammond, of 314 S. 23rd St., Clarksburg. WV.
