Rome Reborn 1.0 - international project launched in 1996 at UCLA and since 2004 based at the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities (IATH), a research unit of the University of Virginia. Ancient Roman history is a fascinating subject. Rome was far ahead of most of the civilizations of that time. The world would be a better place if Latin and Roman History, including the Rise and Fall of the Republic of Rome (a  great example of what and what NOT to do) were once again required subjects in all four years of High School.  Sir Winston Churchill credits his great political achievements to the study of Roman History, specifically referencing:
